Cocktail Bars In Bali: Where To Drink Quality Tipples In Indonesia’s Much Loved Island Paradise

When we think about Bali, we usually envision the exquisite villas, clear turquoise water, and an all-around relaxing time. But what about their cocktail scene then? While this idyllic island may not be as well-established as a tipple-sipping city as compared to Bangkok or Singapore, innovation and craftsmanship are emphasized in these curated list of bars, and I can assure you, you’ll be bar-hopping sooner than you think!

Night Rooster Bar

Founded by the team behind Indonesia’s Best Restaurant – Locavore – in 2017, it’s no wonder that Night Rooster also made it in the list of its bar counterpart the same year. They’re known for their use of local ingredients, and guests will find the same philosophy applied at the bar too. Try the signature Juwuk Kintamani (IDR130k), crafted with local Jeruk Kintamani Liquor and freshly-muddled oranges, or the Loloh (IDR130K), a rum and ginger number featuring spiced palm syrup and local high grade rice.

Akademi Bar

Who says hotel bars are simply lobby lounges for tourists to get their alcoholic fix? Akademi at luxury hotel Katamama – both located in the same compound at Potato Head Beach Club and owned by the PTT Family – challenges that notion by serving up some of the world’s most experimental creations. Set up by established mixologist Dre Masso, their drinks are all about the root to flower concept using locally-seasonal produce.
